Okay Katrina, here is your stinking update

As for the rest of you all...well, I'm back. Life has been busy, crazy and an emotional rollercoaster the past couple of months and I haven't really been in much of a mood to share anything with anybody. I actually nearly deleted my sites just because I got so tired of feeling obligated to update. Anyways, Dan has been gone a fair amount...out of state and out of the country...and its only gonna get worse the rest of this month. No clue what the rest of the year will be like but I'm not really getting my hopes up. Heh, he's in Florida right now as a matter of fact. At least he's good at bringing me wonderful presents from his travels!!! We will be going to Scotland for a week in a month for our 5th year anniversary...def. looking forward to that!  My job is going well. People seem happy with my work most of the time...that's always a good thing, right?  The cats are wonderful as always. They are always in trouble or they are loving on me...or letting me love on them   I really can't think of anything else too thrilling that's going on. My life is rather boring right now, I'm very discontented, and those who know me best who how that affects me. Just keep us in your prayers as we seek God's will for our lives. I would greatly appreciate that.

And now i have managed to burn up half of my lunch break...which otherwise would have been even more boring and pointless (except for the eating food part) since Dan's gone and I don't really have friends here at work.

But yeah, keep up the good work and keep your sites updated so I have something to do with myself when I'm bored in the evenings or during my lunch breaks.

How's that for an update K?

Merry Christmas everybody, and Happy New Year (and by Happy New Year I mean Happy Birthday to me). Don't you love how subtle I am? I turn 24 on Dec. 31st. I expect hundreds of presents from everyone I know....right

Well, Dan and I have been off from work since Friday the 22nd and we don't have to go back to work till January 2nd! Yay for paid vacations!!! For all of you who have been keeping up with me, work is going great. Even on the stressful, "beat my head against the wall" days, I can honestly say that I still love my job. It's been awesome working with all the people I meet everyday, even the grumpy ones.  I have seen God work every day to make Himself more evident in my life and through my life, and I'm amazed every day of all the opportunities He gives me to share a little more about Him. Please pray for my cooworkers. Pray that God will let me see the day when they give their lives to Him. Till then, pray that I stay strong as a Christian, keep a clean mouth/no cussing (if you know me, you that's a hard thing if I'm around people who cuss non-stop!), and pray that God continues to answer my prayers and give me opportunities to share about Him every day.

On a side note, a couple weeks ago was the one year anniversary of when my cousin, Nathan, left this earth and went to be with our Father.  I wasn't sure how I would deal with it;it's been a rough year for all the family. But I was so excited when God used this anniversary to let me share with a couple of my cooworkers more about God and salvation! I think Nathan would be proud to know that somewhere someone was using his death to share Christ with lost people. I miss him though. I know Christmas was really rough for his parents and for Rhena. Please keep all of them in your prayers and pray esp. for healing. There is still alot of tension in the family.

Ok, on a different note, Christmas was a lot of fun for Dan and me.  We spent a few days in Virginia with all of Dan's cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandmas. We also hiked all over the "mountains" (if you've ever been out West you can't call these mountains!), exploring abandoned old cabins in the middle of nowhere, played paintball, did some target shooting and trap shooting (I earned a pretty little bruse on my shoulder from that), and spent some great time with family. We also spent a few days in Eastern Kentucky at Dan's parents house, visited Charity and Stevie's new house in W. Virginia, and shopped at the old antique stores in the area. We got home yesterday, and immediately went to work on remodeling one of the bedrooms in our house. We sanded the wood floors, stained them, and today we'll finish. It already looks a ton better!!! We have several friends who plan on visiting us from out of state this week and we'll spend my Birthday with a family from church on Sunday. I won't get to see my parents this Holiday season, but next year we'll have all of them up here and I'm sure it'll rock!

This next year should be very crazy and exciting. Dan goes to Israel for a week or two for work. We are hoping I can join him, but no word on that yet. We are also celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and Dan's parents are sending us to Scotland for our anniversary!!!  We also hope to remodel a few more rooms in the house this next year as money comes in....crossing fingers....

Well, I'd better run for now. I've got a ton of things to accomplish today and I want to get some major shopping done before the week runs out!  Love you all!!! Keep in touch!!! 937-215-4209

I love my job....but today I felt so overwhelmed. Please keep me in your prayers as I seek to do my best and learn as much as possible very quickly. There is so much that they need done and they are giving me more jobs than they are training me for. It's a great rollercoaster ride and usually I'm up for it, but there are still days like today when I just feel overwhelmed and I realize that I need God to help me continue to keep up with the demand. Thanks for all your prayers so far!  You all rock!

I made it to Saturday!!!  I really enjoyed my first week of work at Rittal. It's a good company. I def. will be working hard there, but I don't mind that. I've enjoyed getting to know so many new people. I love the fact that there is such a diversity of age and culture and pretty much everything else there. My boss in Purchasing is German and there are other Germans, Irish, etc. working there. Ahh, my International Studies major may get redeemed after all

I def. miss all my friends from Kindred. I hope things continue to go well. Please keep in touch!
